2. Information we process
We process the information needed to run a maker discovery platform. This can include maker profile details such as maker name, description, location, shop links, social links, product information, product images, categories, materials, shipping regions, tags, and external storefront URLs.
If you contact us through the contact form or subscribe to the newsletter, we process the email address and related confirmation status you provide. Newsletter subscriptions use double opt-in before an address becomes active. We also keep a limited server-side visitor log for public pages, including date and time, requested page, country code when provided by the hosting/CDN layer, referrer, user agent, crawler or visitor classification, and a hashed visitor identifier. If you allow analytics storage, we may also process usage and performance information such as page views, outbound clicks, saves, search terms, referral attribution, and listing-level analytics to understand which products, categories, and maker pages are useful.
3. Purpose of processing
We use information to operate product discovery pages, maintain maker profiles, review submitted listings, answer contact requests, confirm newsletter subscriptions, understand which categories and products are useful, and improve maker visibility inside the platform.
4. Cookies, analytics, and marketing services
Essential storage is used for core functions such as login, saved products, security, and consent preferences. Optional analytics storage is used only after consent.
Marketing storage is prepared for future services such as Meta and Google advertising or conversion measurement. These services are not loaded unless marketing consent has been granted.
5. External shops
UNIKARO links to external maker storefronts such as Etsy, Shopify, Gumroad, or maker-owned websites. If you click an outbound shop link, the external provider is responsible for its own privacy practices, checkout, payment, shipping, and support.
6. Retention and rights
Maker and product information is retained while an account or listing is active. Contact requests are kept only as long as needed to respond. Newsletter records are retained while the subscription is active or while a pending confirmation is needed. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information where applicable.
